2009 marks the 30th year of business for us at Bob's Marine, here in the small, river town of Bellevue, IA.  Bob's Marine has been owned and operated by Bob and Deb Hutchcroft since 1979.  But that's hardly the beginning, as we have a little more history behind us than that.  The business was originally started back in the 60's by Bob's dad, Bob Hutchcroft Sr., in conjunction with a full service gas station.  Bob Jr. began working for his dad in 1972 where he serviced and sold small boats and motors.

In 1979, Bob Jr. purchased the marine business and in 1981, the business relocated to its present location of 29088 Hwy. 52 Bellevue, IA.  Since then, Bob's Marine has experienced 3 expansions to its present day size.

Bob holds the status of MASTER SERVICE TECHNICIAN from Bombardier Recreational Products, a designation he has held since 1993.  The designation of MASTER SERVICE TECHNICIAN reflects expert service knowledge for all Johnson and Evinrude motors, and requires retesting for continued certification every 2 years.  This level of competency is achieved by fewer than 10% of all marine technicians nationwide.  Bob is our areas ONLY Bombardier service technician who has achieved this ranking.

Bob's Marine is a complete sales and service dealership.  We carry the boat lines of XPress aluminum bass boats and duck boats; Champion high performance bass boats; Ranger bass boats; and Ebbtide sport boats.  We also carry the motor lines of Johnson, Evinrude, and Yamaha.  But if "new" just isn't what you're looking for, Bob's Marine also has a wide selection of used boats and motors in a variety of price ranges.

Besides sales, Bob's Marine is also a full service dealership.  We can service all makes of outboard and stern drive motors, as well as perform any boat repairs.

At Bob's Marine, the 3rd generation of Hutchcroft's has entered the marine business.  Bob and Deb's son Ryan and daughter Nicole both work at the business.  Ryan in service, and Nicole on the administrative side.  So, just like its history, Bob's Marine has stayed in the family.  So, stop by and see us, because our family would like to help you and your family get out on the water, and start boating in style.
